CO_LS147
Columbia, SC Mon Aug 24, 2015 USDA-SC Dept of Ag Market News

Upstate Livestock Exchange, Williamston, SC
Report for Monday Aug 24, 2015

Cattle Receipts: 606 Last week: 417 Last year: 802

Compared to last Monday, Feeder Steers 6.00 lower, Feeder Heifers 3.00 lower,
Slaughter Cows and Slaughter Bulls steady. Moderate offering of well conditioned
cattle with active buyer participation. Light demand for early maturing cattle
and cattle with dairy influence and cattle with excessive hair.

UH-OH. All of those squatty herd quitter calves around here will bring less money along with the environmental missfits with long hair. I can't afford to be one of them smart thinking herd quitters. I guess I'm doomed to raise normal cows. Alas!
