When I was a kid, I got in trouble for rubbing my mad place.

Maybe I'm thinking about something else. Never mind.

This is a 3/4 char...I never record data of traits of non-economic importance, so I don`t really know...small sample to boot...

Mike,
Unfortunately I can't pull up Kent's Powell Ranch 2012 post and all I see is an empty box and dots. Do I need to download something or is there something else I need to do?
Thanks!

oh my gosh, the dot of a reader on the Hudson Bay, Manitoba- Nunavat border...I never knew Nunavat existed...that is a Canadian province? Could it be Oat Tea up there getting a tougher weather report that might impress Jack and Dennis...correction...Jack or Dennis...impressing both would be asking too much.... Smile

Dunkum and I are going fishing next week in a canoe , of all things...I sure hope Joe doesn`t paddle by the take out point...

I`ve thought of what we do here, and what we suggest real breeders do with their cattle...turn up the heat in the kitchen, stir up the animals in the corral and see what path they leave on,  and I think  running the narrows can be added to the cliches...take off the life preserver, paddle, swim, or sink on your own ability to find a line in the rapids and and stay on course...
I thought the Stillwater was special and mis-named by Lewis and Clark, but right here in my back door in Daniel Boone country is nature at it`s best; and it`s meanest...and so it is at KC; enjoy the journey, if you get wet, dry out back in the canoe, there`s no time for the sideline safety of a sand bar beach... we`re going places; time and tide waits for no man...
but at the same time on this journey, there is a limit to how angry you want to make nature; listen for the sounds of what lies unseen around the next bend of the river...
Welcome to several new members...glad to have you watch from the shore, or just jump in and hang on in a thread...it`s a ride that never ends; get`s a little slow at times, but there`s always some white water lurking around the bend...several have abandoned ship; but no one has drown...
welcome

some good advice to registered cattle breeders visiting KC for the first time...

WHEN a man journeys into a far country, he must be prepared to forget many of the things he has learned, and to acquire such customs as are inherent with existence in the new land; he must abandon the old ideals and the old gods, and oftentimes he must reverse the very codes by which his conduct has hitherto been shaped. To those who have the protean faculty of adaptability, the novelty of such change may even be a source of pleasure; but to those who happen to be hardened to the ruts in which they were created, the pressure of the altered environment is unbearable, and they chafe in body and in spirit under the new restrictions which they do not understand. This chafing is bound to act and react, producing divers evils and leading to various misfortunes. It were better for the man who cannot fit himself to the new groove to return to his own country; if he delay too long, he will surely die.
