Whew! We made it. Smile

I want to thank everyone for making the trip and let you all know how much we enjoyed having you. It really means a lot to me that you guys took the time and made the sacrifices to attend. I hope everyone enjoyed their Michigan experience, and if you didn't get enough, you're all welcome back anytime. It was great to see old friendships renewed and see new ones blossom, and as Mike would say, On We Go.

Back on the home course Mike? Enjoyed looking at all the pictures from Michigan, especially the one with the kayaks....Didn't see any sharks.
Wife just returned from Florida and they saw one the last day on the beach, she needs to take her girl friends to Michigan!!

no, no...87 at Arcadia Bluffs; no 13 public course in America...I thought I could only afford two rounds in a lifetime...now I want two every two years; played at home today; scenery so drab; greens sooooo slowwwwww...

Michigan is the place for summer beaches and vacations; even saw some kids swimming in the cold water...5 blond kids in fact; one a bit overgrown Very Happy Very Happy

I didn't realize you played 36 at arcadia, Mike--87 is a good round out there! Those greens. . .

I never get tired of looking at that photo. Next time you come, I will meet you out there. . .it has been too long.

given how Suzanne was dressed yesterday as she took the lead in the Open at Turnberry, Scotland has been easily and cheaply  replaced by Arcadia Smile

Suitably dressed for the conditions, been a miserable summer on the west coast of Scotland by all accounts. Parents were saying it was a balmy high of 13C (55f) last weekend.

Joe Dunkum and I occasionally fantasized about a little Gathering with Rod in the Big Horns...but now Joe has a fear of flying, and I prefer a golf cart to walking...and might as well admit, to a horse as well Smile

Three canyons in the background...

a week stay here would be cheaper than one night on Mackinac...but there`s no ferry out Exclamation Exclamation

I asked Rod if he took bear spray before I saw the Airedale was along on the trip as they hiked into the first canyon...

Dunkum would never leave Wyoming

it`s just pretty amazing the unique venues these Gatherings create...I mean, how many have ever experienced a Sausage and Pancakes Breakfast prepared by a master chef in Bainville, MT ?

Looks like I won't have to move all those wrapped bales after all.  Now I can quit overgrazing the place and mow the thistles. cheers

Fall views from Kentucky. . .

Dale Hollow State Park (and golf course, of course):

Keeney Angus/Wagyu Cross Ribeyes (I'm not a grader, but my vote is USDA Prime):

I hope the taste buds vote prime as well Ben; why all this hullabaloo about changing Angus into Wagyu when Wagyu already exist to be used in a complimentary cross breeding system Question ...cheaper produced and more predictable  Exclamation ...

sure enjoyed your company, on and off the golf course...
Pure Michigan will be a hoped for yearly destination for Linda and I...

Taking a page from Tom`s cherry feeding formula, I ordered feed from Jim Beam yesterday...wonder about that effect? Smile

I will let you know the results of the "steak challenge" taste test dinner after it happens, although won't we have to do it all over again, post Jim Beam finished beef?

Thanks again for a great visit. . .here are more Michigan golf pictures to whet your appetite, all within a short drive of Arcadia Bluffs. . .

Forest Dunes:

Bay Harbor (don't know if deals are possible at this course), carved out of a quarry:

Arcadia Bagpiper--weekends only?:

The best course near me (Lansing), Eagle Eye, #17 is a yard-for-yard replica of Sawgrass #17:

I never buy beef, but if I did, it would be Michigan Craft Beef, from Moraine Park Farm...I would hope
that's one we supplied to be finished, but probably not...and it's the craft as much as the genetics
that makes the product supreme...
