I`m not sure Red Lodge locals appreciate hosting too many of us out of towners; seems they prefer bears Smile

Should problem bears be
1) Euthanized
47 votes or 9.27%
2) Relocated into the wild
195 votes or 38.46%
3) Placed in a zoo
19 votes or 3.75%
4) Named and allowed to roam around the town
246 votes or 48.52%

Should problem bears be
1) Euthanized
47 votes or 9.27% Natives or transplants that actually have experience with animals
2) Relocated into the wild
195 votes or 38.46% Just arrived from the coast , right or left, and are sure that bears couldn't possibly find their way back to a free meal. Seriously considering membership in the Nature Conservancy
3) Placed in a zoo
19 votes or 3.75% Aspire to be politicians and/or have close relatives that are zoo keepers
4) Named and allowed to roam around the town
246 votes or 48.52%[/color] Confirmed PETA members
I think you may have discovered a varity of "types" in the population of Red Lodge as noted above.

Some folks say there ain't no bears in arkansas
Some folks never seen a bear at all
Some folks say that bears go around eating babies raw
Some folks got a bear across the hall

Some folks say that bears go around smelling bad
Others say that a bear is honey sweet
Some folks say this bear's the best I ever had
Some folks got a bear beneath their feet

Some folks drive the bears out of the wilderness
Some to see a bear would pay a fee
Me I just bear up to my bewildered best
And some folks even see the bear in me

So meet a bear and take him out to lunch with you
And even though your friends may stop and stare
Just remember that's a bear there in the bunch with you
And they just don't come no better than a bear

that is good stuff Mike...maybe ole Lyle deserved JR afterall Smile
