Just noticed something the other morning I though was interesting. Our house complete with snow covered roof and mountain goat child.

Some of our cows on a cold morning recently

Stock photo of a house with poor insulation losing heat through the roof.

On the same day as the other picture the skinniest Luing cow we have. Plenty "hair" but lacking the undercoat, the "insulation" the rest have. That's my theory anyway.

gracious...just looking at those pictures makes a bald headed guy sitting in the house at least chilly...the Encores do not have long hair, but Larry`s says good undercoats and they have fared fine in the cold...but of course, he only knows Wyoming cold  Smile

Sometimes you can have too much insulation Rolling Eyes  Just finished 4 afternoons of removing snow from my roof as it was getting a tad heavy with 3 months of winter still to go. Two and and half feet deep, so hard packed you cut it into blocks and pushed it off. Quite a workout - sure didn't get cold Mike even on the day it was sub -40C with the windchill!

Job nearing completion cheers

That reminds me of the winter I spent in the UP of michigan and you had to dig out your cars after each major snow. Seen a number of cars look just like that block of snow after surrounding cars were dug out.
