Wondering if to much protein in the form of white clover can have poor effects on fertility? Crazy weather has my pastures growing just about pure clover and choking the grass.

Too much of anything knocks out balance and problems occur.

I just learned this last week that excess protein levels mainly through NPN BUT ALSO grazing clovers cause the oviduct to be sticky so the fertilized egg can not travel down and attach itself to the uterus. Keith

What sort of protein levels are you talking about that are causing the problem?

Estrogen is causing the problem with the cows. I have seen this twenty years ago on about 300 head of cow in Virginia. You just need to move those cows to pasture with less clover. Everything in life has to be in balance.
